Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about buyer representation, fees, and the process.

What is a buyer's agent?

A buyer's agent is a property professional who works exclusively for the buyer — not for the seller or any developer. In contrast to a traditional estate agent, a buyer's agent has no interest in which property you purchase or at what price, only in finding you the best possible property on the best possible terms.

How does BBA charge for its services?

For homebuyer and investment packages, BBA charges a success fee only when a purchase is completed. There are no upfront costs. The fee is 1% (Standard) or 1.5% (Premium) of the purchase price. Rental and add-on packages use fixed fees.

Do I have to sign a contract?

Yes. A clear, written agreement protects both parties and ensures full transparency about scope, fees, and responsibilities.

Can BBA work with international buyers?

Absolutely. We regularly work with international clients and can manage the entire process remotely — including video viewings, digital document handling, and bilingual contracts.

What areas of Budapest does BBA cover?

We cover all districts of Budapest and can also assist with properties in the surrounding metropolitan area.
